Avril, a young animal defense lawyer, does everything she can to save her client, a recidivist dog, from the death penalty. This dog helps Avril accept her own human complexity. During the production, Laetitia Dosch met Justine Triet, who told her that she was making Anatomy of a Fall (2023), a film about a trial involving a dog and a blind person, with a woman in the lead role. The similarities almost led Dosch to abandon the project.
