The town set was built specifically for the series on North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia
Story
Unravel the mystery of a town in the middle of the US that locks out all who enter. As the residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. The site, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a store, etc. (all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s.
He throws him a rope
The paved streets and paths remain, and the fake town was built on top of them. When Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well. When Boyd comes out of the well, Martin is the only one in the room and is tied to the wall. Martin did not pull the rope Featured in Half in the Bag: 2022 Mid-Year Catch-Up Part 1 (TV Shows) (2022).
are definitely great
Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans performed by The Pixies. I have enjoyed this show so far and the acting and mysteries etc. However, I am starting to get a little worried that this is getting too close to the “Lost” vibe. Although "Lost" was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, directing etc.
In the end, what bothered me was how much mystery there was just for the sake of being mysterious
Watching the second season, I found myself getting a little annoyed every time another weird mystery was introduced, be it a symbol, an object, a thing, an event… mainly because I can’t help but think, “Is this going to be relevant in some way?” in the long run? This is just one of those “there’s a mysterious mist creature” or a hatch or a light, etc., that is never mentioned or explained again in any way, ever. Because that kind of mystery writing eventually gets to the point where it annoys me, since the writer can get to the bottom of it and pull out absolutely anything and never come back to it.” Ok, here comes a red-hatted llama whispering the words “paleontological” and “spatula”!
and that’s it, forgotten a season later, without explanation, just to be weird
I’ll keep watching, but if this ends one day where it’s at the “it was all in his head!” level. and there’s no attempt to even tie any thematic logic to any of this, so consider this review at least 2-3 points below…
